I watched yesterday with astonisment a new movie- "Knowing", 2009, starring Nicholas Cage. The experience was terrifying, for the simple fact that the events described there could happen at any time, even while I'm writing this note...
The movie combines sci-fi elements with religious themes, such as the archangels that come towards the end of the movie and take away the children, only to take them to a better place...some sort of Paradise.
As shocking as I may sound, I really liked and agree with the attitude of the old man- Cage's dad in the movie, the priest- he said that this is what "God wants for us".
I recommend this movie; even though, there may be critics along the way, for me it was a bitter-sweet taste of reality. And a different face of Nicholas Cage, whose work I've admired a lot lately.
